The Story Inside of You

I love to write stories. This month I’ve committed to writing a short story every day, some are a few hundred words long, while others are over a thousand. One thing I’ve learned writing them is that I have so many stories inside of me. In fact, we all do.
No matter what kind of creative outlet you use, it is used to tell the story inside of you.

That story may be the story of your life: how you have overcome adversity to get where you are today. Maybe the story is the one that lives inside your head. Stories of dragons or cyborgs. Tales of adventure and the battle of good versus evil.
Whatever the story, it’s important for you to tell it. You may tell it through words, leading people through adventures in other worlds of fantasy and wonder. You may tell it through art, expressing the world through color and imagery. You may even tell it through music, bringing people to tears of joy with the glory of sound.
Your story is important, and sharing it with others is a blessing. I wouldn’t be where I am today without the power of story. You have no idea what your words, or art, or music might mean to someone else. Story has brought me joy in dark times and caused me to wonder at things I used to find ordinary.
Tell the world your story, not for recognition or money or glory. Tell us your story because you love to tell it. You have a story to share, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.
Share your story with someone today, you never know the impact it may have. The only bad story is the one left untold.
