About The Author

Hi, my name is Luke.

I grew up on Kent Island, Maryland and lived there most of my life. When I was 28 I went on an eleven country, eleven month mission trip called World Race. While I was on this trip my passion and heart for writing was awakened and I came back home with a new purpose.

Write great stories.

Too often in our lives we miss out on the little adventures we have everyday and I like to encourage people to embrace the weirdness in their lives. Whether you’re whitewater rafting or buying groceries, everything can be an adventure.

I’ve had many different jobs in my life. Electrician, guitar sander, sign maker, camp counselor, sail manufacturer, and door-to-door vacuum cleaner salesman to name a few. Currently. I am writing a book about my travels while on the World Race and working as a self-employed writer.

I hope you enjoy reading my blog as much as I enjoy writing it. Thanks for joining in my story and I hope you’ll share your story with me as well. Live life with passion, embrace the weird, and never stop learning. It’s going to be a bumpy ride, so grab a helmet and get into it.

Update: I will be leaving on another mission trip called Kingdom Journeys in July. My team and I will be traveling to China, Tibet, and India to minister to the unreached people groups in the mountains of those areas  (and writing awesome stories about them). Updates and posts will be sporadic because we will be backpacking for much of the trip and internet will not be widely available. If you would like to support me for this trip please visit my World Race page here.
